Thank God Its Over, That Was SOOOO Much FUN!

Knoxie Cross, Race 4 of 4
It hurts so good.

What a great series! "Match Tuff" is a term used to describe a tennis players level of performance being elevated after competing in serveral matchs in a row. If the whole field is "Match Tuff", then its just a tuff match.
Todays race was the hardest yet. The Wall of Death can break your spirit. The slipery and steep 50 foot climb, at a 10% grade, became known as the Wall of Death. It was a push to the top, but a small few with granny rings could climb it.
I hung in for 9 tuff laps crossing the finish line with a flat and in 2nd place. In the end of the series I was 4th overall.

Dusty Mud

I worked the "Taste of the Carolina's" food show in Asheville, NC. Which left me free in the evenings for some good ole mountain biking. I found my way to the top of Green's Lick trail on both Monday and Tuesday night.

Hank's Digger

Hank, the puppy, took a page from the mountain bikers blog: "show up and blow up."

All the signs looked good for the perfect Friday after work ride. Sunny and dry trails. Loaded i-pod and the dog wanted to run. Drew, Dewey, myself and the dog headed up the trail and 2 minutes later I noticed Hanks leg was bothering him, so we stopped. He had gashed his leg open. It was a deep gash that ripped the fur off his leg and I thought I saw bone at first glance.
Me and Dewey walked the dog out of the woods while Drew pulled my car around. Off to the Animal Hospital. 260 bones later he's stiched up and drugged like a drunken pumpkin.

Looking Glass Rock.

Knoxiecross #3

The starting line: A-race.

That was another great race. Thanks to all the volunteers, sponsers and promoters. It was a great showing. I was on the line with people from Asheville, Boone, Nashville, Chattanooga, N. Georgia and more.

A Day in the Life of Indiana Jones

Epic conditions, big guns and a high speed quad.
That was the fastest Saturday night in recent history.
