Sharp's Ridge

The view from Sharp's Ridge in the fall is spectacular. Jeff Murray and myself sprinted there from west Knoxville, racing to make it to the top before the sun went down.
From there we jaunted along to Preservation Pub in high spirits. Where we got loose; before stumbling along the dark greenway, in my favorite fashion. There's nothing like riding home from a great evening on a bike!

Cruisers, Boozers and Hero's

12 Hours of the Hill of Truth

Harper's Zebracorn was a hilarious spoof on the Bike Zoo logo. Everybody got a kick out of that, and even a few Bike Zoo guys bought T-shirts.

Glow in the dark bike

The band was a great addition! They were tight and loose at the same time, kinda like riding in the slickery of the moist trail conditions.

a hero's weekend->

Raced singlespeed team with Tennessee Valley Bikeshop. Thanks to those guys for letting me on their team. I had a blast, we won singlespeed. Apparently I won the fastest singlespped lap as well (although I know there were a few faster singlespeeders who raced open.)

Dirt Surfing

Mark Webb pieced together some footage of riding at Windrock, needless to say, I am looking forward to getting back up there.
When I moved to Knoxville, Windrock was a big draw to the area. Since I have lived here, I have explored all over the Southeast, looking for killer trails. With Windrock in my backyard, I think its time I did some more exploring close to home. I always knew that I would get back into downhill riding eventually.

See you on the hill

In a few days I'll be ready to kill it at Windrock!

After much debate, I made a choice and I have a Kona Stinky Air on the way, with a Marzocchi 888 and DHX 5.0 Air. Dual-ring in the event I have to pedal.

Dog Day Afternoon

DJ, Eric, Jon, Jeff and myself rode Walden Ridge tonight, and finished in the dark.

Race Pics from Windrock 25

Windrock's first XC bike race was a blast! I see this being a yearly event, getting better with age. The trails have really come together and are a different breed than most our local trails. Rocks are plentiful as well as long climbs and big descents. Riding here will make you tuff.

A friend of mine from Louisville, Cory, came down for the race, turned me on to this band, Jaya the Cat. These guys are awesome.
